Sayant — McEvoy

Rev. E. Maloney solemnized the marriage of Lillian Teresa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus McEvoy, to LAC. Archibald A. Sayant, R.C.A.F., son of Mrs. Sayant and the late Alex Sayant, in St. John’s Church, Osgoode, on Saturday morning at nine o'clock. Mrs. James Dewan played the wedding music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Miss Dorothy McEvoy, her sister, as bridesmaid, and Mr. Roddie Sayant, brother bf the bridegroom, was the best man.

On Saturday, July 22, 1944, at St. John's Church, Osgoode, Ont., the Rev. Fr. E. Maloney officiating, the marriage took place of Mary Edith Blanchfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Blanchfield, of Osgoode, Ontario, to Pilot Officer William Gerald Gillissie, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Gillissie, of Vernon, Ontario.

Lawn Social Held In Aid of Church

A successful lawn social was held August 5, in aid of St. John's Church, Prescott road. The following were the prize winners: $25 bond, Henry Nolanm Osgoode; $15 bond, Wilbert Brophy, Richmond; $10 bond, Mde. Leo Parker. 62 Beechwood avenue, Eastview. A handmade quilt was won by Aelred McGuire of Osgoode.
