Mrs. Philip McEvoy

Thursday, October 18, 1934

Solemn tribute was paid Mrs. Philip McEvoy, of Osgoode, at her funeral held this morning at ten o'clock from the residence of her son-in-law, John H. McEwen, of Osgoode, to the parish cemetery. Mass was said in St. John’s Church by a nephew, Father A. Daly, of St. Brigid’s parish, assisted by Father Corkery and Father Tierney in the sanctuary.

There were a large number in the funeral cortege and many spiritual offerings testified to the regard in which Mrs. McEvoy was generally held in the community.

Chief mourners were four sons. Thomas, Augustine, and Raymond, of Osgoode, and James, of Detroit. Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. J. H. McEwen, of Osgoode, and Mrs. John Meegher, South Gloucester: also two brothers, Michael and James Daley, of Osgoode, and three sisters, Mrs. John Kelly, Manotick; Mrs. Thomas Grant, and Mrs. Hugh Cleland, both of Osgoode.
